The architectural complex, inaugurated in 1921 and designed by Paul Boury and the Gispert brothers, is made up of two isolated buildings built with bush-hammered stone on the façade and white and red tiles as decorative bands on the upper floor. In 2011 it was restored and a large railway warehouse was built on the west side where the Museu del Ferrocarril (Railway Museum) is now located.
