Cala Font Celada

Cala Font Celada

A haven of peace where freshwater and the sea meet in Artà's most remote corner.

If you are looking for "remote" in Mallorca, Cala Font Celada is the place. Unlike its neighbors, this cove remains a well-kept secret, perfect for nature tourism and coastal hiking.

The Mystery of Font Celada

The name "Font Celada" (Hidden Spring) refers to the freshwater seepage at the back of the beach. While not always visible—especially during the dry summer months—its presence adds an aura of mysticism to this wild beach.

Privacy and Access

Cala Font Celada is one of the least crowded spots on the island because it is only accessible on foot:

  • From Cala Mitjana: Following the coastal path (GR-222) for about an hour.

  • From S'Alqueria Vella: Hiking down through the interior of the Natural Park. It is a spot where naturism is commonly practiced and the crystal-clear water is perfect for a refreshing swim after the hike. As a protected area, there are no facilities; remember to bring plenty of water and leave no trace.
